The first day of the Summer University 2022 of New Direction and Posmodernia has been inaugurated by Juan José Coca, which has made a journey through the last few years since in the spring of 2009 he met the MEP Daniel Hannan and his approach, after leaving the PP Group in the European Parliament, to set up a European Parliamentary Group that would not submit and sell out to the European globalists.

“We started working in 2012, cwhen precisely assuming those concepts of cultural hegemony, we began to build an alternative for the battle of ideas”, Juan José Coca specified, “As Rafa said yesterday, at the opening there was something that united Daniel and me, the search for the idea in the defense of principles and values, of religion, of the family, of cultural identity and of the nation.

After 2017, when the public presentation of Posmodernia took place, “they have been  many presentations, many interventions, we have reached agreements with many entities and we have achieved that Posmodernia has one of the most important magazines on the Spanish scene.”

Coca ended the presentation of the day by recalling that "in the face of this globalism, regardless of the ideas, the defense of the state of the nation, of identity, of sovereignty and the defense of that Europe of homelands brings us together, in the face of that end that globalism presents to us”.

Alejandro Macarrón: "In Spain a million Spaniards have disappeared in recent years"

Alejandro Macarrón, from the Demographic Renaissance Foundation warned in his speech on the demographic transition that, "with the fertility rates of children per woman, at the end of the century, without immigration from outside the EU, for every 100 inhabitants there would be 65 left, and in cases such as Spain or Italy , 50 or 52”.

Macarrón has reported that there have never been societies so aged, "we are heading towards an old continent, this, business-wise, would mean that Europe is going under, because it spends more than it earns". The alarming thing is that, despite this x-ray, the birth problem was not among the major topics of the conference on the future of Europe that was recently organized.

Asturias, along with the Canary Islands, are the populations with the lowest fertility, "so much so that in less than 80 years, out of every 100 young people there would be 15 left." In just 20 years, Spain and Asturias have lost half their population. In Spain, “35.9% of the population has been lost in recent years, almost 4.5 million. In no war in Spain has it lost so much population”. If nothing changes and if there were no migratory flows, Spain would tend to be depopulated and increasingly older.

Regarding solutions, Alejandro Macarrón has highlighted several needs:

1.- To make the population and media intellectual political elites of civil society aware of the seriousness of the socio-demographic problem caused by the low birth rate.

2.- Study the problem in depth to understand its clauses and improve its solutions.

3.- Making the birth rate increase must be one of the first national, regional, local and European priorities.

4.- Fiscal and economic support measures but also an issue of values.a cultural change of social values and laws in favor of birth. Everything should not be left in the hands of the state, it is a matter of the whole society.

Lastly, Alejandro Macarrón recalled that immigration is not the solution, because it can contribute some things but it has negative issues, real and moral risks that will be difficult to control.

Vajk Farkas: "The vast majority of Europeans want to promote family policies"

For his part, Vajk Farkas, from the Center For Fundamental Rights, has launched a message of hope in this regard, using Hungary as an example, where birth data has increased and there is demographic growth. “The birth rate in 2010 was 1.25 percent, one of the worst in Europe, while now it is 1.59 percent, it has had an increase of 24%, the largest increase in the fertility rate in Europe. Europe".

Farkas has also highlighted the increase in the number of marriages, which has doubled in ten years; Also noteworthy is the drop in abortions by half in ten years. In this sense, he has highlighted that all this is due to the policy of the Hungarian Government since 2010, "which tries to ensure that all desired children are born, that there are no economic barriers and that is where the state can take part and form".

Despite the fact that many European governments think that immigration is the solution to resolve the democratic issue, there are others who think that the basis is to promote the birth rate and that is what the Hungarian Government does.

In this sense, Vajk Farkas has highlighted several lines that have had an impact on the aforementioned increase in the birth rate. “In Hungary, abortion is allowed up to 12 weeks, however, policies have been applied to defend the fetus, such as the personal income tax deduction not for the child born, but from that week. Also thanks to the facilities of the state, in the words of Farkas, more and more women, with university education and workers, are making the decision to create a family, largely "thanks to the measures of the Hungarian Government, with which has consolidated its majority.

In fact, the trend in this regard has changed, several studies determine that currently in Hungary, in the last 2021, 46% want one child and 43% two, only one percent do not want children.

The state, according to Vajk Farkas, must “act economically and create a stable environment, legally and economically, but a state should never interfere in people's private lives, it is a duty of thegovernments, carry out some of the measures that have been taken”.

In this sense, Farkas has named personal income tax deductions for children, and number of children, as an example, women with four children do not have to pay personal income tax. The aid to young people that is provided for university studies and that later has to be repaid, either the return is paralyzed when you have children or the debt with the state is paid off. And in this sense, a large number of measures, such as the payment of salaries for women who are mothers or even grandparents so that they can take care of their grandchildren and thus allow parents to work. The stoppage also of the payment of the mortgages when the children are born for a period of time or even the debt in this regard has been settled according to the number of children.

Lastly, to be highlighted, the speaker pointed out that “79% of Western Europe is in favor of supporting families, It's not an Eastern European thing. “We have to continue forming this opinion, keep in mind that doing family politics could be worth it, we have to take advantage of it to win our future. There is an immense majority that wants to promote family policies”.
